The Madina Institute Arabic Language Program is a 1-year full-time course (4 hours a day of class, plus time required for home study) for beginners seeking a firm foundation in Arabic language.
The curriculum is based on the Mother Tongue textbook series, which Madina Institute has exclusive rights to in the United States. Lessons will also incorporate vocabulary and grammar based on the texts studied in the [full-time] Islamic Studies Degree Program.
NOTE: The Arabic language program is the morning portion of the Islamic Studies Degree Program, and is offered for those who want to focus simply on the language. Graduates are eligible and encouraged to continue studying the Islamic sacred sciences through this program.
It focuses on reading, writing, listening and speaking, beginning with the very basics of letter formation and pronunciation and ending with college level competence.
The course includes 19 hours a week of face to face interaction, modern materials and dynamic online resources.
The knowledge and skills acquired in this thorough course enables students to take standardized texts qualifying them for entry into Arab universities as well as navigate the Quran and classical texts with comprehension.
Upon Successful Completion students are awarded a Diploma of Intensive Arabic Language Study and/or 18 credits toward a degree in Islamic Studies.
